Your two year Craft Apprenticeship with Gleeson starts here! Prior to you joining the Gleeson team we will ensure you have all the tools required to kickstart your Craft Apprenticeship.
On your first day with Gleeson you will be invited to an induction where you will meet key members of the Gleeson team who will support you throughout your Craft Apprenticeship.
You’ll then go on to start your Health and Safety training, a process that will continue throughout your career. Then you’ll be given your Gleeson starter tool kit and personal protective equipment so that you’ve got everything you need to get on the job!

At your induction a key member of the team to look out for is our Early Talent Coordinator who will be by your side throughout your journey with Gleeson to support, guide and encourage you to develop your confidence and skills.
Throughout your Apprenticeship you will meet a wide range of colleagues that work in other areas of the business including other Apprentices, Management Trainees, customers and subcontractors encouraging you to build a solid network of contacts.
Your time at college and working with your Gleeson colleagues will give you a great opportunity to feel part of the team, share experiences and make lifelong friends.

College forms an important part of the Gleeson Craft Apprenticeship programme. Once you have completed your programme, you will be qualified in your chosen trade.
At college, expect hands on practical tutoring in your craft plus classroom learning from experienced tutors. College will also help you develop your numeracy and literacy skills if required. Gleeson will pay all of the costs associated with your learning. You can then focus on gaining your qualification and learning your trade.

As a Gleeson Craft Apprentice you gain so much more than just an NVQ. You’ll always be learning new skills when you’re on the job, not only about your chosen trade but the construction industry as a whole.

Your qualification is an industry wide recognised qualification and you can now look to the future and a great career. Many Craft Apprentices will either gain higher qualifications or obtain permanent employment. Gleeson will provide support, coaching and mentoring throughout this transition.
